"The life cycle of the palm tree begins with a hard‑shelled seed that encloses a nucleus. This nucleus contains the plant’s genetic code and the essential determinants of its vitality. When water activates the soil, the dormant seed responds; life stirs within the nucleus, and from it emerges a root, followed by a stem, fronds, and ultimately fruit.
A similar perspective may be applied to words and meanings. They can be understood as fruits that grow from linguistic roots whose fundamental structure consists of letters—letters functioning analogously to seeds. As is well known, numerous studies have examined the relationship between expression and meaning. Some fall within acceptable academic parameters, yet most rely primarily on descriptive and analytical approaches and lack an empirical methodology. In other words, they cannot be subjected to laboratory experimentation in the manner of chemistry or physics."
